Vacation Villa Rental Italy Tuscany Casa di Pietro

Casa di Pietro is a beautifully restored two bedroom stone house fenced with a walled-in garden that was designed by the british garden architect Jonathan Radford in 2001. It is one of the particularly attractive features of this charming house. The living room opens up onto the small piazzetta in the front and the garden in the back. The four-poster bed was found in the attic of the castle.

Ground floor: large living room with open fireplace, kitchen
First floor: 1 double bedroom,1 twin bedroom, 2 bathrooms
Garden: the private walled-in garden has a pergola with table and chairs.
Pool, 6 x 10 m, can be reached in 3 minutes (by foot).
Inclusive: telephone, dishwasher, washing machine, CD-stereo, satellite TV.
Upon request: you can order a first shopping, as well as a dinner on the evening of your arrival. The cook, famous for her specialities such as Tortellini filled with ricotta and spinach as well as a fresh lasagne with pesto is available all week. Extra household help, baby cot and high chair are also available.

The hamlet Vivo D'Orcia lies at an altitude of 900 m above sea level. The particular combination of altitude and meditteranean climate creates an unusual whealth of flora and fauna. Many wild animals such as deer, wild boar and foxes as well as the most deliscious truffles call the Monte Amiata their home. A pope's refuge: the estate with the impressive castle and the romanic chapel reaches back to the 11th century. The humble hermitage was transformed into a sophisticated and well-organised agricultural center when Cardinal Marcello Cervini, later Pope Marcello II, acquired the estate in 1534. The property is still owned by the family today. Count Marcello Cervini and his wife Amarilli spend most of the summer months in residence as attentive and interesting hosts. Incidentally, their castle was featured in the jan. 2005 issue of THE WORLD OF INTERIORS. Vivo d'Orcia and the closeby Abbadia San Salvatore offer excellent shopping facilites. For those who prefer to be served upon, the estate's cook will gladly prepare the local specialities.
