The apartment Marinella on the first floor faces the sea and the setting sun. Most of the rooms lead off the balcony which stretches along the entire façade, making this feature an integral part of the house. This Tuscan getaway lies on a beach of the peninsula Argentario where a small colony of holiday houses has developed over the past 30 years. It is a pretty house painted in a dark mediterranean pink and stands in a large enclosed garden which is accessed through a wrought iron gate. A large part of the garden consists of a so called ‚pineta' - loosely set high-grown pine trees which give you all the shade you need. Giannella has been divided into 2 apartments. Pineti on the ground floor has its entrance at the back of the house, the other - Marinella - is reached by steps leading up to a balcony at the front of the house. A gate leads from the garden directly to the sand beach. Apart from the main holiday months of July and August the beach is never too crowded. Pineti and Marinella together can host 12 persons comfortably.

The Maremma extends along the southern Tuscan coast. As it moves away from the sea, the land slowly rises, shaping hills covered in olive groves, fields and woods. The hamlet of Marsiliana stands on top of the first small hill, only 14 kms from the sea. It is the centre of a property which consists mainly of woodland and mediterranean macchia.
The beach and the sea: a beach of fine sand stretches along the coast. The water is clean and ususally warm enough to swim in from mid-may to October. You can hire a boat to visit the hidden creeks of the islands Giglio and Giannutri. The Argentario: a peninsula famous for the meditteranean macchia and the jet-set holiday resorts Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole.
The Etruscans: a trip through what was known as Etruria is one of the most interesting archaeological excursions in Italy. Tarquinia and Tuscania, only 25 kms away from the Marsiliana estate, boast worldwide famous archeological excavations which should not be missed.
Golf: there are two golf courses in the area of Marsiliana. At a 20 minute drive the Golf Club Maremmello has 9 holes, Par 70. The famous Punta Ala Golf course is at an hour's drive from Marsiliana and has 18 holes, Par 72.
Wine and food: fresh vegetables, tender salads, ripe tomatoes, wild boar and game, Pecorino - the local sheep cheese and of course the excellent red wine Morellino di Scansano which is gaining considerable attention from experts.
