Country Villa Argentario View is a typical farmhouse of the 'Ente Maremma', built at the beginning of the XX century. Placed on a panoramic hill this fantastic Holiday villa is surrounded by a large garden with well maintained lawn and an olive orchard of about 2 hectares. A small annex together with a contemporary wing completes the property. The renovation, and the new extension have equipped the house of all the comforts in the respect of the original architectural characteristics. The proprietors, being well-known architects have successfully and tastefully combined the traditional and modern style next to each other.
The stone building has a pitched terracotta roof and an exterior staircase that connects the two floors of the house. At the ground floor are located a living room with fireplace, a spacious dining room, the kitchen and two bedrooms (each sleeps two people) with bathroom. All the rooms have direct access to the garden. On the first floor are located two bedrooms (one sleeps two and one sleeps four) with bathroom and a beautiful panoramic terrace from where you can look out over the pool and over the rolling Tuscan hills, all the way towards the Monte Argentario coastline.
In the annex has been located a king bed with bathroom and a service room with the boiler, a second refrigerator and a washing machine. This year a new red tiled wing has been added to the annex, with two bedrooms and one bathroom directly connected with the main bedroom. On the overall the house sleeps 13 people in regular beds + 3 extra beds are availble.
The outdoor area of Country Villa Argentario View is equipped with a large terracotta paving, two pergolas with dining table, a vaste garden with lawn, olive trees, oaks and mediterranean maquis. A bowls´ field and a swimming pool (5 x 12 mts), surrounded by a solarium with deckchairs and beach umbrellas, complete the outdoors´ space. Near the entrance a shaded parking is available for three cars.
Country house Argentario View has wooden beam floors with terracotta tiles. Bathrooms and kitchen have a ceramic revetment, windows and shutters are in wood. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, electric oven, 2 refrigerators, independent freezer, dishwasher and small household appliances.
In the living room and upstairs are located TV and radio. In the swimming pool area a barbecue, beach umbrellas and deckchairs are available. From the country villa you can take advantage of a 360° view, which extends to the Tyrrhenian coast with the Mount Argentario and the Giglio and Giannutri islands.
If you like to visit the surrounding area, many are the feasible excursions you can take within reasonable driving distances. The closet beach is the Giannella located only 20 km from the country villa, which offers several bathing establishments; at a slightly longer distance the Feniglia beach with its bikeable pine wood and sandy dunes and the rocky beaches of the Argentario, where you can also rent a boat. You can also visit numerous hill towns of Maremma, always provided of good restaurants. The Maremma area is known for its quality food and the well know 'Morellino di Scansano' wine.
At a distance not larger than 100 km you can reach the winding roads carved in tufo discovering Etruscan villages and beautiful landscapes, visiting Pitigliano, Sorano, Sovana, Montemerano, Tuscania and Tarquinia. Grosseto and Siena are also at a reasonable driving distance. Several archaeological and natural parks are in the surroundings: the park of the Uccellina, the park of Vulci and the famous termal baths of Saturnia. With slightly longer distances, but always within 150 Kms, you can reach some of the Tuscan cities as Pisa, Massa, Carrara and Lucca. The farmhouse is located 2 Km from Pereta, a small medieval village 500 mts above the sea level.
Country Villa Argentario View is one of the few hidden gems left in the Maremma area. Here you will find a very high standard of quality, views in an unspoiled Tuscan landscape, close to the sea and tourist attractions.
