Villa Patronale is beautifully restored large manor house in the Southern part of Puglia, next to Otranto. The general name in this area for a large country houses is 'Masseria' and they usually come with large growing lands. In this case the Villa Patronale has been turned into a noble home with 10 Ha of pine and olive trees.

The owners have restored the villa in 2002 and they have taken great care in using local materials and furniture. They have opted for a minimalist rustic style with warm Mediterranean colors. Villa Patronale consists of 3 mini-apartments all with one double bedroom, en-suite bathroom and living room with sofa bed. These 3 apartments are located on the ground floor of the villa. You can access them from a large terrace where people usually dine at the large tables that are at the guests disposal. The kitchen is basic, but large and functional. The sofa bed fits two persons and they are of good quality. From the kitchen you can access the bedroom that are characterized by high star-vaulted ceilings and thick walls that keep the warmth outside. Every mini-apartment has its own en-suite bathroom. Every mini-apartment has a large window-door from where you can access the back front side of the villa where you can sit comfortably in the shade and in the fresh breeze that always comes from the Adriatic Coast. The villa also comprises a double room with en-suite bathroom (no kitchen) and a private terrace.

Next to the villa the owners have build an independent dependance with a large bedrooms with a double bed and two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen is next to the bedroom and from here you have access to a large private terrace and garden that looks out on the country side. The dependance is perfect for those that wish to stay a bit more on their own.

From the front side of the villa steps lead up to the original manor house. This part had now been converted into 2 independent parts both with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Both suites also have a large living room to relax. One of the two suites has a fully equipped kitchen. The other has a fridge and an electric burner to make a tea or coffee. From both the suites you can access the large terrace that has beautiful views over the olive trees. You can see the towers of the churches of the small villages that surround the villa. The two suites are very suitable also for rental during the colder months.

The villa is surrounded by 10 Ha of pine trees and olive trees. There are many nice corners around the villa where you can relax. At one side of the villa you can find the large pool (16 by 5 meters) that is surrounded by tiles and lawn. There is a large barbecue available and one room at the back side of the villa is currently in use as a communal kitchen.

Villa Patronale is the perfect place for a large family or a group of friends that want to spend a good time together and still maintaining a good level of privacy. The Adriatic sea can be reached within 10 minutes by car (7 km) and also the wonderful city of Otranto is next door. From here you can discover all of the Salento within 1 hour driving.
