Monteverde Escher is one of the hidden vacation rental gems in Rome. Located on the upper hill of Trastevere (Gianicolo) this bright and fabulous apartment was the home of the famous Dutch artist M.C. Escher during the 1920's and who's paintings are exposed in the National Gallery of Toronto. The apartment is well connected to the center by bus and tram. This green residential area is one of the favorite places for the Romans to live. The views from the Gianicolo are amazing and two of the nicest public parks are within walking distance; Villa Sciarra and Villa Doria Pamphili.
Monteverde Escher has a large and bright living room with a spacious, well equipped kitchenette and a beautiful wooden Mezzanine with on it a large single bed. One bedroom with double bed, one bath with shower. In the living room there are two comfortable single sofa beds and the room has a beautiful view overlooking the city hillside. Just outside the entrance of the private apartment is a breathtaking terrace with views of the city all the way towards Tivoli and the mountains. The furniture is modern and elegant with tasteful and functional decorative features. Walking distance to Trastevere.
